I have been told I have a high risk hpv and to come in for colopscopy. Should I be this worried?

Im 35 and have never been told I have hpv. I dont sleep around. And now? Im confused. All I can think is cervical cancer..hysterectomy..no children. Should I be this worried? Does a colpscopy hurt?
