To those under 25, How should we punish our parent's generation for striping us of our futures?

Rather than venturing into the future with the spirit of the very same mindsets that spawned this incredible damage, it would seem more profitable for the younger generations to ensure that theirs and future generations are free from the same initiatives as their predecessors - greed, ignorance, and arrogance unfortunately have a way of sustaining themselves even in the midst of the most prosperous and equitable of times - by erasing even a part of our history, we may submit ourselves to repetition where knowledge should have spared us - let the past serve it's purpose by remaining that way...
